what i want to know is why us cable(ntl, don't know about Telewest) viewers can't view b4u music (which is fta),without subscribing and will zee music be free on cable when it becomes fta.

I thought asians only have 1 language, which is arabic...

I'm not even remotley Asian and I knew that wasn't right by far!
Some people do live in a bubble don't they?

It's good to have more choice on the specialist channels, it's surprising how many channels there are up there on those high numbers which often have some good stuff on whether you speak the language or not :D

i'm sure this is only for sky digital. I think its up to your cable company if they want to give you it for free

Ok so its going FTA but i doubt it would be for anytime more then a few months...it did this a few years ago it was FTA for 3-4 months when it was re-branded and some new shows launched...so its going free for a while to get subscriber interest.....could be 4 weeks or 4 months ................

To a certain (highly limited) extent, he was right, because many of the Arab nations are in Asia. Although, of course, it is rather like saying that all Europeans speak Spanish.

Well he isn't right....Asian muslim nations (Pakistan, Bangladesh etc) only speak arabic as a 2nd language but thats only a few people who know it b/c not everyone in those nations do...and the other thing is, not all the Asian countries are muslim nations!....but Mike was saying that all were!

New News just in - Sorted will now NOT be, i repeat NOT be axed. It is now one of the shows to be kept to rival B4U music and to boost viewers!

Here is an e-mail that I got from Mediabullet. I hope it will be useful.

In regards to ZEE Music, I can confirm that the channel will remain Free To
Air for a while and has no plans of encrypting again. The channel has been
lagging behind in the ratings compared to B4U Music and thus the channel
will be offered free to all from Monday 15th November.

ZEE TV is the UK's most popular Asian TV channel and therefore they will not
see this as a loss, in fact ZEE Music will also be used now more for cross
promotion of other ZEE channels and forthcoming shows. It will work to their
    advantage.

Because I ain't got a exsubscription card does that mean I can recieve it, because it does not appear on the epg. Only Zee tv and Zee cinema appear. I also don't get channels such as ftn.

Well that is very strange. I have never known anyone to have come across this problem before. Have you tried turning the box on and off at the power?

you can tune into it manually via the ADD CHANNELS option and then entering the frequency 11973.00 V 27.500 and selecting ZEE MUSIC, once stored view it via the Other Channels option via EPG.........

With Balle Balle launching soon it is going to be tough time for the music channels.

Here is the e-mail that I recieved from mediabullet.

Balle Balle will be a free to air channel at first and then later may
encrypt but this all depends on the audience's feedback. It will certainly
face a tough time with ZEE Music and B4U Music free-to-air but there's space
for gap in the market and if they provide something new and innovative then
they can give ZEE Music and B4U Music a run for their money! Let's see hey!

    :):)

Manually doing it worked but how come it does not appear without doing it manually. I tried turning the box on and off but still the same. Even like the porn channels don't appear.

I have posted similar comments before but it is my opinion that in a multi-racial society there should be a percentage of "free" channels in all languages so that we can all get an appreciation of our neighbour's cultures.

Like, as an anglo-saxon, I am never going to subscribe to Zee, B4x etc but I do enjoy the occasional channel hop.

As for all of the music channels for viewers originating from the Indian sub-continent playing the same stuff, try cataloging an hour or two from 440 upwards and I think you will discover a similar trend.

i have sky plus and put my old card in there. the card works after activation. i put my old digi box in my room and ordered a card from sky freesat. now i am getting on my old box what you are getting. i rand sky and they activated my card but i still get the same. 1tv1, C4 and five are not on the epg, but when i press the blue button (the favs) they are there but with no EPG number.
