Hi, as an Arsenal fan I'd love to be able to view the feed on 16E but I'm having difficulty in locating the satellite. I can find Astra 1 and Hotbird easily but can't find 16E in between those two satellites. Can anyone offer me such advice? I use a FTA system bought from Lidl. Thanks.

Is that the porty dish or the 80cm dish they did before it?

I love the look of them little Porty Dishes but I dont think they pick up anything on W2.

Try looking for the high symbol rate Bulgarian channels. You are unlikely to get the feeds with anything under an 80cm dish

Their does seem to be some activity on 16e

A strange test card was found by some feed hunters the other day
    http://www.satplaza.com/feedhuntplaza/index.php/?cat=12

    16 E 12705 H 5632 3/4

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure this Test Card sometimes appears on BBCi streams before broadcasting.

Do we know when our FTA bonanza on 16E is coming to an end?
    The PIDS on
    11555V
    30000
    7/8
(BBC Prime etc) are all over the place.

Very interesting. The signal quality is constant but there are changes to the streams. The PIDS keep disappearing (or changing) intermittantly. I wondered if this was the beginning of the end.

(At the moment everything is back to 'normal')

My 80cm dish picks it up fine - as long as it doesn't rain too hard. :)

However as mentioned earlier, that TP's pids have sometimes been hard to lock for periods of time.
(I think it might be the low error correction combined wth some extra channels they have been trying to squeeze in there. When I had problems, a scan revealed 18 streams)

It has been reported that it will be encrypted sometime today (14th March).

Just been watching a very interesting "educational" programme on Viasat Explorer. They were actuallt transmitting "Spice" by mistake, totally FTA.

Don't know how long it was like this, but has now gone and a there is just a message on screen saying "We are sorry fore the breakdown" and the Explorer logo in center of screen.

... since above... Now showing "Spice" static screen with Spice logo...

If you do a rescan now on this transponder, your have a supprise that another 3 extra channels are now open. As you can understand tho, they can encrypt just as quick as they unenrypt. Have a look, you might be lucky. :D:p

is indeed still FTA. It seems they are still testing.
I did a FTA scan and as reported all 14 channels are unencrypted.
