SkyText comes to Freeview (merged)

Sky have started to broadcast a text service on freeview - it's behind a code at the moment but it looks very much like their satellite service but with far less content. Just news/sport/finance/weather. It doesn't seem to work that well either - lots of broken links.

Bullshit - I think not. If anyone out there has the ability to look at the transport stream you will see that there is a data service being broadcast on the SKY mux. If you have the ability to look at it you will be able to see what the code is.

Well I had a Thomson box about a year ago and it displayed MHEG tags then.

Just a thought, get a keypad in front of you, or a mobile phone, and press the required amount of button presses until you get to RGYB.

I have absolutely no idea whether this would work, however it might. Or more realistically it's a could possibly be twoddle.

I can confirm the code works, theirs a small blue caption at the bottom which comes up loading and it leads to a news page on Sky News....will take some screen shots!

Unfortunately there are 65,536 different combinations. I don't have that sort of time to waste.

You can get page numbers, A-Z and switch between each Sky channel.
