Sale of Arts & Entertainment
DMG Broadcasting, the broadcasting division of DMGT, has announced the sale of
Arts and Entertainment Programming Limited ('A&E') to Eicom plc for a
consideration of £365,000, payable in cash. A&E is the owner of Performance
Channel which currently broadcasts in the UK on Sky and on Telewest.
The disposal will give rise to an exceptional loss on disposal of approximately
£4 million in the current year due to the deduction of goodwill, previously
written off reserves.
