Is anyone else watching this?
Week after week we have Lizzie Bardsley standing on the scales in front of the Dietician, Ann Widdecombe the motivator and Harvey the ex Marine fitness instructor. And week after week we have The Bardsley banging on how she isnt following the dieticians diet- shes doin her own, shrieking and gnashing her teeth and having rows with Anne Widdecombe because she thinks the very pleasant Anne " is looking down on her "; and she makes snide comments to Andy Fordham the darts player because he cant do some exercises because of his size ( looked in a mirror lately Lizzie?)...

Last night we had Julie Goodyear step on the scales and be thoroughly wound up by Harvey, to the point where she was talking back to him in a very layyyyddeeeelike tone, all politeness through gritted teeth - all the while glaring at him and giving him daggeringly looks.

Ken Morley (Reg Holdsworth) seems to be on another planet and appears to have put weight on.

The hideously OTT soap columnist - Tina Baker - is all screechy voice, jazz hands and flirts outrageously with Harvey, much to his disgust. Last night we had "the trampoline episode" where Tina divulged the fact that she hadnt been on a trampoline in years following a traumatic fall. We had to witness her attention seeking, ludicrous behaviour as she shakily got on the trampoline, after breaking down once or twice and being cheered on by her fellow slebs, milking the situation for all she was worth, before triumphantly executing some fancy moves on the trampoline whooping with delight. Cut to the slebs faces surrounding the trampoline - smiles now slightly fixed and fading fast as they wonder (as Ive no doubt we all were), whether or not Tina might have been putting it all on.

The darts player - is nearly 30 stones in weight and yet is consistently losing weight now that he is exercising. He has lost a fantastic two stone and if only he would cut off his mullet, would achieve another stone in weight loss in one fell swoop.

Try and tune in - if not to see the Bardsley get shown up by Harvey - then at least to clock Dale Winton's face which is now the colour of a very ripe satsuma.

I do think Andys weight loss might be more than a bit helped by the fact hes stopped drinking 20 pints of lager a night.

The Bardsley is the vilest creature ever to grace our screens. She (almost) makes Jade Goody look middle class.
Apparantly shes not like the other celebs. Errrrrr Lizzie, thats cos the rest of them have got jobs (sorry, have I lost you with that word). Her answer to everything is 'you try having 8 kids'. Well, Lizzie maybe you should have tried contraception or, perish the thought, paying your own way in life and seeing how many kids you could manage then.

Julie Goodyear really is just an aging drag queen. Its c competition between her and Dale as to the Queen of the series.

Its complete car crash, chav tv but you just cant stop yourself watching it.

Didn't watch the last series as the line-up was pretty dire, but I though I'd give this series a go..... until I saw THIS year's line-up.... and I thought it couldn't get ANY worse. Apart from that Andy guy, the rest are z-listers and chavs! Thank god for the fact that I'm in College until 9:00pm on Tuesdays! :D

Just a thought..... shouldn't it be called "Celebrity Fat Club" seen as the celebs are on there to lose weight because they are FAT??? Dont get me wrong, I'm not one of these people who slags off fat people, no way, I'm on a diet @ the mo myself, but I just think it's funny how it's called "Fit Club". Then again, I suppose they ARE on there to get fit... well, SOME of them are, but a good few are on there to TRY and revive their so-called "careers"! :D In the care of Lizzy Bardsley, SHE hasn't even GOT a career, in which case, she is trying to get herself one!

Andy Fordham is lovely, but it did make me chuckle when they weighed him in the beginning of the series and said 'Andy, you weigh 30 stone and 10 pounds. This means you are 19 stone overweight...

Yes, it was called 'Fat Club' when us 'mere mortals' were involved in it - but apparently, it was changed to 'Fit Club' to save the 'celebrities' (and I say that loosely) embarasment - although I think it's far more embarassing to be pictured in your pants for the nation to see and everyone knowing your weight - but maybe that's just me

I am enjoying this series - and I'm really pleased Andy has not fallen foul of 'Rik Waller' syndrome - almost known as 'fat bastard lazyitis' but was not pleased to see The Bardsley back to her 'best' last night after two weeks of 'almost' pleasantness - I mean, she was even rude to Dale last night - and he's the nicest, orange, man in Showbiz

They changed it to fit as not all the people fat anymore (just slighly overweight) i.e Tina Baker and lowri Turner.

I don't like Lizzie but I happened to agree with Lizzie the other day - she lost weight (maybe 2lbs short of what she was supposed to loose I'm not sure) but they felt the need to riddicule her. Thats why I don't really watch anymore as the purpose should be to encorage and help people to lose weight put putting them down every week is not going to help is it?

Its just shameless car crash TV now, I thought there was a higher purpose to it before, but clearly I was wrong. Then again for primetime ITV what did I expect?!

The pants thing is weird. Why do they agree to it? I thought the worst thing I've ever seen on it was when Freddie Starr and John whoeverheis were acting little school boy bullies in the last series. Aldo seems quite nice, though.

I agree about Freddie Starr and that John bloke. They really were a pair of w*nkers (imo of course).

Freddie Starr stopped being funny 25 years ago and just came across as a complete saddo and that John one was the worst type of ignorant male pig.

I like Aldo as well. I think it must be really hard for him to lose weight whilst running his own restaurant. Italian food can be pretty carb heavy and I'd find it hard to resist.

I thought his restaurants specialised in fish? That's ok - unless it's got lots of thick batter on it ;) I'm pretty sure Chris Evans is/was a partner in one of them :)

Methinks Aldo is a bit desperate to hang onto his pretty young fiancee - as he mentions how much younger she is than him and how he's doing this for her in every show

I'm sure that's true. Just hope she doesn't run off in the meantime. (But I suppose he's at least lost the weight and can find another). :)

They are pretty fish based but did you see the food the other night? Stuff like lobster ravioli in a creamy sauce. :)

Now given the choice of that or a peice of steamed cod on lettuce, I know what I'd be tucking into.

No, I only had half an eye on it the other night - that receipe he made a couple of weeks ago for everyone looked really nice though - my mouth was watering :o:)

Lizzie is a complete moron. She is only there to be as rude as she can be to the panel because it makes good TV. She is following her 'own diet' (Burger & chips probably) so that she can say to the nutritionist bloke that she has not listened to what he says and she has still lost weight.

Well, it's backfiring on her now big style and she doesn't like that. She starts shouting and huffing and puffing and calling Anne a hypocrite...
And went these attacks do not work, she resorts to getting upset and sniffling for the cameras.

    So sad.

Julie Goodyear was good too. You could she was a volcano waiting to erupt when Harvey started winding her up about the team captaincy being taken away from her. Through gritted teeth, or what. She can be a bit of dragon though. I read ages ago that most reporters don't like to interview her because she gives them hell.

God, that woman is a first class bint isn't she? She would not look out of place at Billingsgate fish market

It was nice to see that Andy wasnt THAT shocked when they told him he was 30 stone.

Remember that look on Wallers face when they broke the news that he was 29 stone odd? He really looked like it was the biggest shock of his life. What did he think he was, 15 stone or something?

Frank Skinner got it right when he said Rik looked like a normal sized man with his head sticking up over a sofa.

Oh my god, remember John Forgeham in those ghastly leather trousers he wore week after week, along with ten tonne of gold jewellery around his neck? I thought it was a joke at first, ie he was taking the mickey out of his Footballers Wives character but then I realised, he really does dress like this !!!!!
As for Freddie Starr - he was a one trick pony who has rocketed back into oblivion thank god.

What got me more than anything, was that throughout the show they thought their misogynistic, arrogant, loud, bullying behaviour was perfecty acceptable!

At least John Forgeham, on the final show, apologised for his loutish attitude after being shown a four minute clip of himself "in action" and was subsequently mortified.

I cant see Lizzie being as humble and apologising for her constant mouthing off.

Also, although I like Aldo, I find it slightly worrying that he should feel the need to be slim in order to "keep his girlfriend". Bit shallow isnt she? If it were me, I wouldnt care if my partner had put on a bit of weight, as long as he wasnt putting his health at risk; When she was interviewed though, it was all about how he looked in his clothes, how much better he would look if he were slimmer etc - very shallow.

I'd forgotten about Freddie and John last series - they were absolutely awful.

Forgive me for reminding you of the leather trews, the baggy face and the gold jewellery, Peli ;)

Not sure Widdicombe supports the Tories totally under their present but soon to be past (but already past-it) leader. In wobbly falsetto - "he has summat of the night abaht 'im"
