Ooh yes, I like these! Definitley part of the new BBCi branding, and it's not as factually incorrect as the old blue and green screen :p

Getting ready for the footy I think instead of the animated version of the normal 701 and 702 screens. Like you say it is the new look as the red button and its prominence for interactive was part of the new look. I presume we're only getting this as it'll be an AV copy of sky.

    Well done netizen!

The last two are almost 60's retro.

Soundtrack as with the old animated screens was silent, some instrumental music would be better.

I've been looking all day for some satellite stills of the new bbci, anyone know where I could look.

Very nice idea though having Radio Ulster on the selection. Great to have a different perspective.

    I am now being told:
    This interactive service has finished.

Satellite viewers press BACK UP to exit

    Freeview viewers press TEXT

    Cable viewers press TV

It's now gone back to the original Green/Blue 701 off air BBCi screen

I didn't say it was new...it's just new to me, and I wasn't aware of it.

The downtime screens were still the same yesterday, the screenshots I posted were of the warm up sequence just before an interactive app starts. Before it was the blue/green digital/analog slide that animated, now it's a series of zooming and rotating red dots.

Now 702 has gone all purple with boxes and a consant loop of "Three Zero Audio One", now that is annoying after a couple of times.

I suppose thats what happens when you sit and watch the interactive feeds when nothing is broadcast

Are the rest of the channels so boring

I think somebody said on here a while back that it's a satellite engineering thing, which occasionally gets routed through to the Freeview feeds by accident.

On one occasion it happened right in the middle of a snooker match - very distracting!

For all Freeviewers that have SkyTV too.... The feeds that carry the BBCi test messages and screens are available via Sky's "Other Channels" menu option, at: 12.441 V (Services > [4] Setup > [4] Add Channels - to add these)

    Test Labels are:
DEV-STRM-0 (for "Three zero, audio one")
DEV-STRM-1 (for "Three one, audio one")
DEV-STRM-2 (for "Three two, audio one")
DEV-STRM-3 (for "Three three, audio one")
DEV-STRM-4 (for "Three four, audio one")
DEV-STRM-5 (for "Three five, audio one")
DEV-STRM-6 (for "Three six, audio one")

    :)
