Getting ready for the footy I think instead of the animated version of the normal 701 and 702 screens. Like you say it is the new look as the red button and its prominence for interactive was part of the new look. I presume we're only getting this as it'll be an AV copy of sky.
The downtime screens were still the same yesterday, the screenshots I posted were of the warm up sequence just before an interactive app starts. Before it was the blue/green digital/analog slide that animated, now it's a series of zooming and rotating red dots.
I think somebody said on here a while back that it's a satellite engineering thing, which occasionally gets routed through to the Freeview feeds by accident.
On one occasion it happened right in the middle of a snooker match - very distracting!

Happened to me only it was three four audio 1 and when I flicked away and then flicked back, It was gone
Now 702 has gone all purple with boxes and a consant loop of "Three Zero Audio One", now that is annoying after a couple of times.
isn't this what i mentioned a month or so ago in a thread but by the time i said about it it was gone, will see if i can find the thread. Were there numbers in the top right hand corner?
For all Freeviewers that have SkyTV too.... The feeds that carry the BBCi test messages and screens are available via Sky's "Other Channels" menu option, at: 12.441 V(Services > [4] Setup > [4] Add Channels - to add these)

The last two are almost 60's retro.
Soundtrack as with the old animated screens was silent, some instrumental music would be better.
I've been looking all day for some satellite stills of the new bbci, anyone know where I could look.
They've had two Audio streams for a while with Rugby and Football Interactive, its not a new thing
It's now gone back to the original Green/Blue 701 off air BBCi screen
I suppose thats what happens when you sit and watch the interactive feeds when nothing is broadcast
Are the rest of the channels so boring
It's called channel flicking, there really isn't much on.....
I can get you some if you like?
John
Yes I've seen that a few times myself - quite repetative
On one occasion it happened right in the middle of a snooker match - very distracting!

Just to second the request, that would be good if you could.
Thanks,
