Does anyone know what happened to the comic genius of Simon & Trevor. Was watching Philip on This Morning and had a sudden memory of them getting children to poke him with sticks.

The Singing Corner was so funny and I miss them!!

I saw them on something the other day (can't remember what - not very helpful, I know!). It was one of those countdown programmes of top something or others (!) and they were talking about Michael Jackson. Simon looked like he was really receding!

    Someone enlighten me please!!! :)

My son said they had to leave live and kicking when they showed a shop dummy and revealed it had plastic private parts  but he thought hthey might have known they were going anyway and chose to go out with a bang as it were.

They were very funny, he and his dad went to see them live and they were even funnier apparently.

I'm sure I saw one of them on tv the other day.(other than that 100 mommnents prog.) I think they work behind the scenes now, with some of the new childrens tv hosts.

Does anyone remember the tv ad they did for some sweets? Was it for chewits?? All i remember is the punch line of IT HAS POWER - BUT HOW MUCH POWER????.

The last time I saw them on the telly, they where on that Channel Five
Kareoke (sp?) programme. (The name of which escapes me at the moment)

    That's the one! :)

Also I've never heard their names that way round, it's usually 'Trevor & Simon'. It's a bit like Dec & Ant or Dom & Dick. ;)

saw them on bbc threes 28 acts in 28 minutes about 3 or 4 weeks ago, seemed rather sad at the time, seeing those two comedy 'greats' reduced to a mere 60 second part. see http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/28_acts_show1a.shtml

Does anyone remember when they had Kylie on The Singing Corner - they sang "A Froggie went a courting he did go" - so so funny I nearly wet my pants let alone swang them!

There are some clips here - superb! BRING THEM BACK!

Met them years ago when they filmed a few sketches in our offices.

The tall, fair haired one was alright, pretty chatty. The gingery one was a stuck up, miserable b*stard.

They were very edgy for their time.

One day in 'Singing Corner' they had this toy horse thingy ( a head on a stick, very entertaining), got this random boyband blokey to mount it, and went into a chorus of....

'Ride your cock, horsey, ride it, ride it!'

Philip Schofield was wetting himself across the studio.

I wish I could remember who the chap was riding the toy horse....
