How old is your Sky+ remote control?

The newer the rev number of the Sky+ remote e.g. Sky rev.4 the more TV's it is aware about.

    Automan.

    tried it- nothing :(

    [ferguson FTV150T]

what possible advantage is there for manufacturers to keep changing remote frequencies?
do they think we have two of the same make of tele next to each other?

all i want is for the sky remote to alter the volume and change channel, nothing else

    i dont want an all-for-one

does anyone know if other manufacturers codes cross match
    or
does anyone know if they are bringing a rev 5 out, or will new codes alter the rev 4 frequencies

Did the ONE4ALL site have a code for it?
If so, have you thought about buying a ONE4ALL remote and programming it for both your new TV and for SKY+?
I have a ONE4ALL and use both it and the SKY+ remotes and have all the functionality I could want on both remotes.

Unlike the usual arguments for a ONE4ALL (ie get rid of all those remotes and use just one),; with two small children hiding them I subscribe to the "more remotes around, the better!" school of thought.

Sorry, just read this message of yours.
If you could borrow a One4ALL you could load the code for the TV into it, then get it to tell you what the code is and then you're away!

    let me get this right

if i borrow a new ONE4ALL, program some codes in for ferguson, till it works.

then can i use blink back? - find the code and program it into sky+ remote?

    does this actually work?

it sounds like it could, but...
dont the codes activate a set of pre-programed infrared frequncies, or do they create a set of 'new' frequencies?

Can't answer the last part of your question but the One4All has the facility to learn a code by nose to nose pointing and once you have the code in you can blink it back. I did it once just to test out that it did (I didn't need the facility).I guess that you then try the code it gives you.

The telephone helpdesk at One4All is very good and on couple of occasions I have had quite detailed chats to them. Give them a ring.

I had the same trouble but through 'trial-and-error' I found code 471 works. My remote is original for version 1 SKY+. Hope this helps.

My Sky+ remote is so old it hasn't got a rev number, the sticker reads: RC1680/00 3104 207 11201 OP000139 - 11, it was supplied with my V1 Sky+ just a month or so after it was first launched.

I did have a little help in tracking down the code. I had a URC that used a Matsui code to control the Fergy so when Fergy codes failed I tried Matsui codes and found it.

Just a further note. Today I got a new Sky+ remote, I dropped the old one on Saturday and broke the back! The new remote is version 6, but 471 doesn't work for the Fergy.

I bought an FTV150 a couple of days ago and am grateful for the 471 info. You have saved me a lot of time. Many thanks.
