Dilemma inside please help?

I have a spare sky box linked up with no card in, just showing the free shows (bbc, sky news but NOT itv, ch4)

When is itv & ch4 going to become available without a card?

Or should i bite the bullet and pay sky £20 for a freesat card?

    ITV very soon - early 2006, if not before. :)

    Ch4 not until 2008. :cry:

    According to "What Satellite TV" magazine, ITV1 will go FTA before Christmas.

    Excellent news! - I spent 18 months in my new house on the western slopes of the North York Moors waiting vainly for this to happen (owing to virtually zero analogue signal) and finally bought a DS430N, to replace my Fortec Star FTA box, plus Freesat from Sky card in frustration about two months ago. Now I won't need it (except for Hell's Kitchen USA on Ch4!!!!!!!!!!!!)

    Whoops - not even that - Hell's Kitchen is on ITV2: All these Channels are becoming indistinguishable from one another.
