MSN messenger 8 beta

This is either microsofts latest beta version of windows messenger for there next operating system, or it could just be there newest MSN messenger, whatever it is, its called "Windows Live Messenger 8 beta" and it definatly has that windows longhorn/vista "look" to it.

It works ok here, but the interface looks so bloated that I think it will struggle on older computers.

You need to be invited by another user, like with Googlemail. I should've mentioned that

yea, sorry guys dident realise you needed an invite to sign in. A freind installed myne for me, so dident know untill I tried a different account on there. As for downgrading, you can install MSN7 over the top.

That looks absolutely fowl - I hate the dark colours and the heavy gradient, especially in the alert toast.

It's possible to change the colours - I selected the blue, since it's the closest I could get to my taskbar etc.

In fact, I've just realised that you can select ANY colour from the hex system.

Yes, it's exactly that - MSN is being replaced with Live.com.
