Got it here, i recon it might be something to do with their pay as you go smartcards to replace xtraview, possibly...seeing as xtraview has gone.

What would the following licenses be for then?

    Top Up TV: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/tvlicensing/dtt/933.htm

    Top Up TV Sampler: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/tvlicensing/dtt/1191.htm

Couldn't these old licenses be used for something?...if not to hold on to the LCN
I did say that they had removed the Top Up TV Sampler (which might disqualify it). If that didnt then they could just use Xtraview's licence to hold onto the LCN.

As far as the Top Up TV Licence goes, what is it for? They have had it since TUTV started but there is no LCN for it. The only purpose I can see is for the off-air MHEGs. Does Ofcom consider these to be separate services to the actual channel?

I wonder (although somewhat idly) whether it will be a permanent information service which the MHEG screens for the offair channels will also show. On its own - at channel 107, I can't imagine many people looking at it. Presumably, though, if all the 'off air' channels could show it aswell then it woul dbe of greater use to them?

With a name like "Active", I don't suppose it will be just the off-air MHEG's

I have the same. Also, my STB is attempting to load up a data service, but it's not working at the moment.
