I'm sure you'll all survive. It hit Germany earlier and its not made the blindest bit of difference over here.

There was some panic about bird flu in Scotland a few weeks ago when 100 chickens died on a smallholding in Orkney. Story here...

However, bird flu was later discounted as a cause of the deaths. See here...

The current story may well be just another false alarm.

    Yes, we are.

Well at least this is a reason to not do the coursework.

"Hi examiner, sorry I couldn't do the work... I'm kind of dying from bird-flu here. So can you cut me some slack?"

    Yes perfect excuse!

But H5 bird flu has been confirmed according to the BBC but not knowing if it's the N1 variant until tomorrow.

Me too. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

    And Party Political Broadcasts.

Even after an all-out nuclear war, TB would still be canvassing for the next General Election.

wonder how they are going to spin this to show that "Tony Blair and his cronies" were directly responsable.

Other european cases have reported several isolated and independant cases, but nothing widespread.
