'Panic' over leaked housemates

Yesterday we reported that one Sunday newspaper had 'leaked' the names of 12 housemates that were set to enter the Big Brother house next Thursday.

A source close to the show told the Daily Star "All hell has broken loose. This is a major leak and it could ruin our launch show because we always want Davina McCall to reveal who the new housemates are to the nation.

We may have to tell some of the contestants who we’ve picked that they’re not going to be on the show now and replace them with new people."

Another twist to the story is that apparently channel 4 only has 10 housemates on immediate stand-by that could replace the 12 leaked.

    Which gives Endemol a 'get out clause' for breaking their own rules and allowing these people to enter - if they don't have enough people on standby , there's no point bringing in others who will have read all about the plans for the show so they are 'forced' into including the already revealed hms ;)

    I know because I know a person that has been called to replace a stndby who is replacing a leaked contender. confusing! This could go on forever. There is a ladyboy and a grandma from Watford.

    Endemol might be playing a double bluff....making the tabloids think there's a panic, so they think the HMs have been revealed....so they don't dig any further and find out the REAL HMs. :p

    Maybe she's meant to be the 'celebrity' that's going in. Heat said there would be a 'household name'. What if they couldn't get a genuine celeb to go in? They just create one don't they? Fair to say Imogen Thomas is fast becoming a household name.

    Why on earth woukld a stand by take the risk to reveal themselves when they know that in past BBs previous years stand bys/dummy run HMs have had another chance to enter as a real housemate. :confused:
