Looking at the T.V. recently, I've noticed we have some really great looking women over a certain age.
Names that spring to mind:

Belinda Lang
Nicki Chapman
Felicity Kendall
Joanna Lumley

Julie Christie and Catherine Deneuve were the first to come to mind. Also Sophia Loren and Ann-Magret.

Pattie Boyd looks remarkable for her age. She is now a photographer I believe but she was the favourite model of the 70s. She had bags of personality!

Yeah - one hubby (George Harrison) wrote 'Something' about her and her other hub (Eric Clapton) wrote 'Wonderful Tonight' about her.

Susan Sarandon, attractive, intelligent, great actress, social conciense and doesn't take herself too seriously.
Goldie Hawn, vivacious, sexy, seems genuinely warm
    Diane Keaton, elegant, talented
    Anna Ford, intelligent, witty
Anita Roddick, clever, social conciense, comitted, warm
    Julie Walters, talented, funny
Judy Dench, never attaractive in a conventional sense but her personality and talent make her so appealing I just had to include her

All these women are famous for having a talent and they are all intelligent I think this makes them comfortable with who they are. Inner confidence makes a woman attractive and for all of these women their inner confidence shines through. Sadly todays media is only interested in how a woman looks, not if she has genuine talent. I doubt if any of todays crop of celebrities will be even remembered in 10 years, let alone with such affection. They know they have little, if any, talent and this makes for some very insecure women underneath the designer clothes and the grooming.

Clapton also wrote Layla about her (while she was married to George Harrison).

How about Sophia Loren, looking fabulous at 70?

I've seen Helen Mirren at LAX airport. She'd just got off a transatlantic flight and was wearing no make up and casual clothes. She was possibly one of the most naturally beautiful and striking women I've ever seen.

I, on the other had, looked like I'd been recently exhumed.

    *sigh*
