    The Cambridge Dictionary had it down as light bulb so the title of this post is correct. :D

    But isn't the Oxford dictionary the most popular dictionary so I think this should be the proper definition you need for the light bulb, please before posting false suggestions, please read the Dictionary FAQ on the internet, you really are wasting my time!

    The OED also agrees with Light Bulb :)

    You forgot about the members who would tell you that there was life left in the old one, and the format shouldn't have been changed. The old one should be brought back immediately.

    Oh - being serious here - I am ex-industry, (Thorn Lighting Leicester 1969-75), and it is LAMP. Bulb is the glass bit on the outside.
