The "Quiz TV" label thats been hanging around off the EPG for a while just showing a continues loop of Quiz TV programming has now gone back to just being an empty label.
There's still quiet a few old labels still hanging around, all these come to mind, Film Four Weekly, Sport Nation, We Deliver TV, One TV, Treasures TV, ATN Bangla, Quiz TV, Live XXX TV, Honey TV.
Wouldn't be suprised if a few of these return at some point.
ITV has launched its mobile television service, allowing subscribers to the 3 network to view some of the broadcaster's most popular programmes. In a first for British terrestrial free-to-air TV, shows from ITV1, including Coronation Street, Emmerdale and The X Factor, will be transmitted live to mobile handsets. Viewers can also see programmes from ITV Play, the participation channel launched as a digital service earlier this year. Daily charges for the new simulcast service—available to all 3.7m of 3's users—are 49p to watch ITV Play and 99p for ITV1. There is also a cheaper, £5-per-month option for unlimited viewing. But, it has changed its position on the channel list on that transponder today. This might be due to its broadcast hours being altered from today. EPG info shows the channel closing at 11pm instead of 4am each day. Possibly to timeshare with a porn channel or maybe 'You TV 2 Extra' which is also on that transponder which has also altered its broadcast hours from today as i mentioned in post #46.....

Radio Nord broadcasts to Latvia’s capital city Riga, and boasts an audience of 100,000.” The frequency is 945 kHz. We presume the time mentioned is UK time, so that would be 2000-2300 UTC.( medianetwork)

1. Channel number 346 has changed from VH2 to MTV Flux (D. Sky D.)
2. In a communication with ShoppingTelly.com Ofcom have confirmed that they have only revoked one of OneTV’s three licences, they commented: “The revocation of one licence does not necessarily affect the status of any other licences a broadcaster may hold. So there is no automatic revocation of One TV’s other licences.” This means that OneTV are free to use their other two licences for Shopping Telly purposes, GDTV & Alan & Barry's Crafts+. OneTV are currently broadcasting a repeating loop of Alan Gear and Barry Freestone on Sky 672 offering CD’s for Sale via a website address. So following the ASA’s investigation, Ofcom’s solution to help the hundreds of customers who are still owed money by OneTV is to revoke one licence thus saving OneTV £2K and leaving them free to sell again using their two other existing Ofcom licences. 3. Cable operator NTL (which is later this week due to launch a mobile television service via its Virgin Mobile division) is offering free digital TV to customers taking its fixed home phone service More Here
4. C21 are now reporting, France's long-planned and long-delayed international rolling news channel, once dubbed 'the French CNN' but now called France 24, will finally launch in December. (Analoguesat)
5. From skyisthebest, According to the Quiz Telly Forums, AVAGO (841) will rebrand to 'Gala TV' on Wednesday 13th September
6. The UK's continuing ongoing move towards total digital switchover will see Freeview overtake Sky in popularity in 2008, somewhat later than previously forecast, claims a new study from Datamonitor. The market analyst's figures show that digital terrestrial TV (DTT) services such as Freeview will exceed satellite offerings like Sky's within the next two years. This latest news from Datamonitor contradicts a forecast earlier this summer from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, which announced that Freeview would have the lead on Sky before the New Year. 7. A survey of Which? magazine subscribers suggests good reliability of digital set-top boxes, with an average of 89% up to four years old still functioning perfectly. But digital TV recorders seem to be less reliable, with one device in six requiring a repair over the past two years. More Here
8. The Cumbrian town of Whitehaven will lead the UK's switch to digital-only television, broadcasting minister Shaun Woodward has announced. In a letter to MPs Woodward and industry minister Margaret Hodge said analogue signals in Whitehaven would be switched off in autumn 2007. The Border television region—the first to go digital-only under the Government's 2008-2012 switchover timetable—will complete its transition in the second quarter of 2009 when the area served by the Caldbeck transmitter switches over.(Digital UK/DTG.org)

1. Sony is giving consumer electronics rival Toshiba a six-month head start in Japan's next-generation DVD format war. Sony said it would launch its Blu-ray high-definition DVD player—which can also record—in Japan in October. Toshiba's rival HD-DVD players went on sale in Japan in March. The Blu-ray launch will be accompanied by the release of 75 movie titles in the Blu-ray disc format, including Swordfish, Syriana and The Da Vinci Code. By that time Toshiba is expected to have up to 150 HD-DVD titles on the market in Japan and Europe. More
2. The number of households watching high-definition television (HDTV) programming is rising rapidly and will continue to do so for years, according to a new report from market research company In-Stat. The technology specialist's new data predicts that the worldwide number of HDTV homes will rise from 15m in mid-2006 to 20.3m by the end of this year. However, the growth will occur in only a few countries because many nations still lack HDTV. Full Story
3. Sky may be forced to re-programme thousands of high-definition (HD) set-top boxes following problems with the technology that are understood to be affecting 30% of subscribers. According to a report in Scotland's Sunday Herald newspaper, the dominant UK pay-television provider may have to reset up to 10,000 boxes for customers who are complaining of their HD pictures freezing and of hearing unexplained background noise. The article claims that the problem could take several months to resolve. It is believed that the high-definition TVs affected are mainly Pioneer models, though other brands are also under scrutiny—and at least three out of every ten sets are causing problems. This may lead to both Sky and the TV manufacturers in question having to re-engineer their technology's software. Sky would most likely do this via an upgrade downloaded to customers' homes.
4. Toshiba's president says the Japanese consumer electronics giant still favours a unified format for the next generation of DVDs, despite the recently launched format war between the Toshiba-backed HD-DVD and Blu-ray standard promoted by rival Sony. Toshiba and Sony attempted to collaborate last year on a unified standard, but talks broke down when each party insisted that their format was the only reasonable way forward. (DTG.org)
Other Stuff
Top Up TV, the UK's digital terrestrial pay-TV operator, has confirmed its revamped service will launch in the autumn. Designed to complement Freeview's stronger channel line-up, Top Up TV Anytime will offer customers more than 100 programmes at any time from a range of 18 channels. Programmes will be stored on a Thomson-manufactured digital television recorder, which will also receive all the Freeview channels. More Sub required.
Consumer electronics giants Sharp and Sony have unveiled a range of new liquid crystal display (LCD) TV sets in time for the all-important pre-Christmas shopping rush. Sharp—which is fighting to regain its LCD market leading position—is to offer two versions each of its new Aquos brand at 52-inches, 46-inches and 42-inches. Sony said it would launch nine new LCD models in Japan including a 52-inch set. More Here

Surely it's not... coming back?!
Did they? My wife loved them, they really did do some fantastic card designs. So, One TV or Going Down are their new home?
Very good point
No need to, I'm as good as gold
So they did, but where is this 'Going Down' channel? I can't see it anywhere?
Going Down ... You'd think it was a porn channel ...
and in the 11.090 v its got 2 lots of star plus amd star news.. so i guessmay be its for star gold and star one....
Further to this 11.604 V the Biography channel has a rather blocky picture showing
This has now been labelled as "Jetix+1".
Also, the Real Madrid TV EPG name has been slightly changed:
Real Madrid TV --> RealmadridTV
aww, im gutted, that babe will only be on one channel now.
Psychic TV has always been on that transponder.

(DTG.org)

Programmes will be stored on a Thomson-manufactured digital television recorder, which will also receive all the Freeview channels. More Sub required.
