    LIGA F: (on DAZN)
Levante vs. Real Sociedad - Dan McCarthy

Got a word from Joe Rawson on Twitter that he actually had the call there, so I have to issue a correction on this one.

I caught some of Rob Jones on the Sheff Utd v Forest game and was really impressed. Good voice, knowledge and had some banter with Warnock. First time I have heard him and hopefully not the last, a fairly new name this season (in fact last few weeks really?)

Just caught the highlights of this and he does sound decent.

Is it the same Rob Jones from Sky Sports News? Seems to be the only person that comes up on a quick search.

Interesting take in the studio regarding the Man Utd fans.

Any other big 6 club on the end of a result like that, with that performance, and I’m sure there would have been criticism about them “accepting it”.

Yes it's in the David Elleray Channel 4 Documentary that randomly was suggested to me on my YT feed last week:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaS-COAs-lg

I watched it at the time it came out (2000) and think it was part of the Channel 4 "football stories" series if anyone remembers what else they featured just as they were significantly cutting down on their Gazzetta live action.

Probably most interesting to see back then refs just drove separately to the game whereas nowadays the group goes to the match in a people carrier from a hotel. He also missed the 1998 World cup because it clashed with an interview for the headmasters position at Harrow!

Alan Smith mentioned it on commentary tonight as he played in that game and said that the players didn't know beforehand that Elleray was mic'd up.

Was he a commentator for that? As I seem to remember Guy Mowbray hosted it (from 2010-2012 and then again in 2014) and ex Football on 5 host and current rugby league commentator George Riley hosted in 2013 - however I remember the late Harry Gration covered an edition for Guy once as well.

Carragher doing quite a good impression of it tonight when it comes to Casemiro.

Even by Sky punditry standards it's a brutal takedown. "The football's left him" - bloody hell!

Looked like someone in their 30s with no pace being played out of position against quick and skilled attackers.

Carragher has been building to that all season where Casemiro is concerned.

Taphouse has been drafted in to do Crawley vs MK Dons tonight. He wasn’t down to do the game yesterday.

I really wish Sky had taken the opportunity to freshen their flagship super Sunday commentary team when they moved on from Martin Tyler to Peter Drury last year. I find Gary Neville biased and insufferable.

As TNT line-ups go the one tonight is more palatable than some with Hargreaves in the studio and McCoist on commentary and Matt Smith as the reporter

Laura Woods seemed to confirm she’d be at the Bernabeu tomorrow (and I also believe Owen Hargreaves but may have been Rio she was referring to).

Since when was the analysis sponsored by Turkish Airlines? Never known that before. (Unless you're American TV)
