This channel is a test so is not on the EPG but yet the Champions League was replaced by the ITV News channel. Did they do this because ITV still have not resolved their sports rights issues (like the BBC have with its scottish football rights)? Was last night's events are an indication that ITV1 will still have to remain FTV?
I pointed this out to a friend - that yesterday when the champions league game programme started - someone posted on here that it switched to itv news, so this could be why - so it could be a logical reason but who knows
what it could be an indication of is that they will go fta like the bbc but for sports rights they will revert to either the itv news channel or like bbc scotland this event is not available on satellite

Which would probably mean that they would have to have at least 1 region as an encrypted channel to show sport on.

I seriously doubt you can infer anything at all from this. It's a transponder uplink test.
And besides, the game on ITV1 was shown FTA to a much larger audience at 19.2e.
Another clue to the change in the test is that the DVB provider information for ITV5 is "ntl" (almost every other thing at 28.2 has a provider of "bskyb".
This would suggest they're testing uplinking from various sources.
Yeah I was hoping for that to see girls aloud lol, ahem, anyway, well Mr Bean Animated Series was on before and I watched that, which is also Nickelodeon I think im right in saying?

No, it's just that NTL provide the uplink services for ITV from their Winchester uplink station.

Am I totally wrong ?
Let's see if "Des & Mel" comes on at 17:00
That's the first time I have ever heard that before.
It isn't. Well yet.
There are talks going on between ITV & Nick for Nick to take control of CiTV.
Actually it's uplinked from London.
Its back to ITV News now anyway if anyone really wants a running commentary.
