This looks interesting.
I've been perusing the Radio Times website, and there's a history of Top of the Form (a sort of University Challenge for school children - cancelled 5 years before I was born!) on from nine, then a new 2006 episode and an old 1965 episode.
I only really know this show as my mother had an old copy of the associated quiz book. We'll see how much dumbing down there has been.
With a documentary about Piero della Francesca on BBC2 at 7:00, and my old college on University Challenge at 8:30, I've got my viewing sorted for tonight.

The history of the series was quite good. The story of Darien Angadi was very sad. (was on a team, became an actor. Appeared in I Claudius, but committed suicide).
The history of the series was very interesting, and I thought the contestants in the 2006 edition did well and probably better than many viewers were expecting! An interesting revelation that the questions were often tailored to the interests of the participants. It was also good to see Geoffrey Wheeler looking well and obviously enjoying the chance to be questionmaster one more time.
The story of the programme is on again later tonight, but all three programmes are all being shown again on Wednesday night between 7.30 and 10.00 (with a break for the World News at 8.00) for anyone who missed them tonight.
